Instructor: George Vlastos
George Vlastos received a BA in English & Creative Writing from Stanford University and an
MFA from the University of Wyoming in Poetry & Environment and Natural Resources.
Currently he teaches Language Arts at Pinedale Middle School. George is also a part-time
villager on the island of Crete, Greece, where his family has raised olives and produced olive oil
since the 11th century.
During the COVID 19 pandemic, Pinedale, Wyoming’s, Cowboy Country Distillery transitioned all of their operations from distilling “spirits” to making Hand Sanitizer, to then distribute throughout the nation. In this video, Sublette BOCES, Community Education Coordinator – Kaidi Raney, provides an inside look at the process.
